19 teachers out of the 4 “recipient schools” were selected and trained by the P2P Coaches, i.e. the teachers of the “donor school”. The P2P Coaches provided special training and guidance to the teachers of the “receiving schools” to assume the role of “P2P Tutors”. Through a hands-on classroom experience with an emphasis on sharing the identified best practices on inclusive schooling, Tutors were enabled to utilize in their classroom the inclusive educational methods and practices that were successfully applied in the “donor school” (2nd General Lyceum of Agia Varvara), in order to reduce the school drop-out of Roma students.
The teachers – candidate P2P Tutors – were divided into groups of 10 and 9 people, participated in 6 educational sessions during which they became familiar with the good practice of “inclusive school culture” that has already been implemented to address the phenomenon of Roma school dropout in the “donor school”.
It should be noted that all educational activities were carried out online due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the restrictions in force during the implementation period of the actions to avoid the spread of the virus.
