8 workshops were carried out to train the 8 P2P Tutors from February to April 2022. The objective of the training of the selected teachers is to familiarize them with the inclusive teaching methods that have been successfully applied in the “school – donor”, and to develop skills for transferring them to the “recipient schools” of the intervention with maximum efficiency.
To achieve this objective, workshops, based on the principles of transformative learning, included the following thematic topics:
- 1. Utilization of “cultural capital”
- 2. Principles of encouragement: practical applications
- 3. Prevention – management of conflicts / school bullying
- 4. The relationship between a teacher and a Roma parent
- 5. Basic knowledge of Romani
Under the coordination of the “P2P Coaches”, an Initial Workshop carried out with the participation of the “P2P Tutors” of all “schools – recipients”, in which 20 people participated (13 women and 7 men), whereas 7 regular, follow-up Workshops followed.
In the 1st follow-up Workshop 19 people participated (women: 11, men: 8), in the 2nd 14 people (women: 9, men: 5), in the 3rd 17 people (women: 10, men: 7), in the 4th again 17 people (women: 10, men: 7), in the 5th 14 people (women: 8, men: 6), and in the last workshop 17 people (women: 8, men: 9) participated.
