10 role-modelling sessions were conducted from February to April 2022, with the participation of 183 students, in total, of Primary and Secondary Schools of West Attica. The 71 girls and 112 boys who participated in the sessions, had the chance to talk about their lives and experiences in relation to generalized stereotypes. The goal of the role-modelling sessions was to identify role-models to help consolidate the importance of the school to the mentees (and their environment), to encourage learning and to build better interpersonal relationships with teachers and between classmates.
The organization of the sessions for the promoting of role models was done with the contribution of the mentors, in order for them to be harmoniously connected with the process of “mentoring” and to have as a “common
ground” the needs and quests of the mentees. In addition, the mentors contributed to the selection of role models, the preparation and the organization of the sessions under the guidance of the “P2P Coaches”.
